From Breaking News to Breaking Ground: Finding Truth in Nature

Hello, I am a "Life Journalist" in the High Desert.

Welcome to High Desert Life.

For over 20 years, I lived as a newspaper reporter in Los Angeles, working for The Korea Daily. My days were filled with breaking news, political analysis, and the endless noise of the city. I was trained to question everything, verify facts, and dig for the truth behind the headlines.

But as time passed, I realized that the most important "news" wasn't happening on a screen—it was happening inside our bodies and in the soil beneath our feet.

The Convergence: Medicine, Soil, and Philosophy

I put down my reporter's notebook to pick up deeper studies. My journey led me through three distinct yet connected worlds:

  • Eastern Medicine: I studied the intricate balance of the human body and the flow of energy (Qi), understanding that health is not just the absence of disease, but a state of harmony.

  • Agroecology & Natural Farming: I learned that human health starts with soil health. You cannot have a healthy body by eating food grown in sick soil.

  • Philosophy: I delved into Eastern philosophy to understand the mind, realizing that true wellness requires a peace of spirit.

This unique combination of Journalism, Eastern Medicine, Natural Farming, and Philosophy has given me a new lens through which to view the world.

Why I am Here: The Curator of Wisdom

I am no longer writing about city politics. Instead, I am now a correspondent for nature. Living here in the High Desert of California, where nature is raw and honest, I continue my work as a journalist with a new mission:

  • To Decode Health: I analyze health trends and supplements not just as products, but through the rigorous eyes of a reporter and the wisdom of Eastern Medicine.

  • To Read the World: Through my "Keyword Insights," I interpret complex modern trends through the calm perspective of philosophical wisdom.

  • To Connect Soil & Soul: I share the simple, profound lessons learned from sweating in the dirt and living under the desert sky.

A Note to My Readers

I am not here to act as your doctor in a clinic. Think of me as your senior editor for life and health.

I filter out the noise, fact-check the hype, and curate only what is genuine and beneficial for your body and soul. Whether you are in the US, Korea, or anywhere else in the world, I hope this blog becomes a small oasis of insight in your daily life.

Thank you for reading.

The High Desert Journalist,

J. Lee
